- 36C25019Q1181 SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE TEE Transducer The Cleveland Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, 10701 East Blvd Cleveland, OH 44106 intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)-Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The NAICS code is 334510 with a small business size standard of 1,250. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with Philips Medical Systems North America Inc 22100 Bothell Everett Hwy Bothell, WA 98021. This procurement is for replacement Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) probes to be used for cardiac surgical cases at the Cleveland VAMC. The operating room is currently using the Phillips EPIQ TEE CVxi machine, and the probes must be compatible with this machine. Shall also be capable of 2D, M-mode, 3D, Harmonic Imagining, Live 3D, xplane imaging, multiple doppler modes, electrocautery suppression, and interventional support. Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by Wednesday July 24, 2019 at 2PM EST. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
