- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 9 located in Murfreesboro, TN intends to issue a sole source firm-fixed priced contract to MEDTRONIC INC./Covidien, 161 CHESIRE LANE, SUITE 100, PLYMOUTH, MN 55441. MEDTRONIC INC. /Covidien will provide Preventive Maintenance services for Medtronic Super-Dimension Navigation System at Louisville VA Medical Center with equipment located at 800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville, KY 40206. The Medtronic Super-Dimension Navigation System is a sole source product and is exclusively sold and serviced by MEDTRONIC INC./Covidien. No other entity is authorized to provide service or capable of providing original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts. MEDTRONIC INC. /Covidien, nor their parts suppliers, sells any serviceable or replacement parts to non-original equipment manufacturer (non-OEM) repair facilities. MEDTRONIC INC. /Covidien is the only authorized service and repair provider for equipment. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), soliciting from a single source. The NAICS code utilized for this procurement is 811219 - Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance with a Size Standard of $20.5 Million. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit company capabilities statement no later than 11:00 A.M. EST, Friday August 09, 2019 to: scott.dickey@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
