- This is a pre-solicitation notice only. This is not a Request for Proposals (RFP) and does not commit the Government to award any contracts now or in the future. The Bureau of Land Management, Glasgow Field Office, has a requirement for the repair of Dean S Dam located in Custer County, Montana approximately 12 miles southeast of Mile City, MT. Major items of work for at this dam include: 1. Dewater reservoir and construction area. 2. Excavate the existing dam embankment and foundation including removal of a 36-inch diameter Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP) and a 2-inch polyethylene stockwater water pipe. 3. Reconstruct the dam embankment including a. Placement of compacted fill from onsite borrow sources, b. Placement of compacted lime amended fill c. Placement of imported rock for riprap slope protection along the upstream face, d. Placement and compaction of imported sand and gravel for internal filter and drain features, 4. Construct precast concrete spillway riser for a new principal spillway. 5. Construct concrete encased, precast reinforced concrete pipe outlet conduit. 6. Construct concrete low-level inlet and gate control structures including installation of inclined slide gate and concrete encased gate stem. 7. Construct the Contractors Option of a gabion stilling basin or riprap stilling basin 8. Place gravel road surfacing along the crests of the dam. 9. Reclaim all disturbed areas including staging areas and temporary roads. Reclamation consists of preparation of the soil for seeding but does not include seeding. The government intends to award this contract as a small business set-aside under NAICS code 237990. The corresponding small business size standard is $36.5 million. This project is anticipated to be between $250,000 and $500,000. The solicitation is tentatively scheduled to be available on or around August 2, 2019 at http://www.fedconnect.net/FedConnect and https://www.fbo.gov.
