- The JTNC is establishing a Tactical Communications Marketplace and introducing the Capability Characterization effort to meet the expressed desires of the Department of Defense (DoD) for characterizing commercial Tactical Communications products. The Tactical Communications Marketplace will be an on-line portal for commercial vendors to present an overview of their Tactical Communication Products. This JTNC web application will follow a digital marketplace approach and will enable DoD program offices to review a selection of products along with relevant artifacts. The goals of the Industry Day are: (a) provide industry an update on JTNC's mission, vision and goals; (b) demonstrate to industry the capabilities and functionality of the Tactical Communications Marketplace application, as well as engagement opportunities in support of DoD program offices; and (c) discuss and seek input from industry on their current innovative tactical radio and/or waveform product offerings in support of DoD.
