- The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue a solicitation for full and open competition for the accomplishment of Post Shakedown Availability (PSA) execution on nine (9) Freedom Variant Littoral Combat Ships in the homeport of Mayport, Florida. A PSA encompasses the correction of Government responsible trial card deficiencies, completion of new work identified between ship custody transfer and the start of PSA, and the incorporation of approved engineering changes and other work items that were not incorporated prior to delivery of the ship to the Navy. The subject procurement's requirements include the manpower, support services, material, facilities, dry-docking, and non-standard equipment (and associated technical data and documentation) required to accomplish work items, tests, and post repair sea trials encompassed by the PSA. This is a pre-solicitation notice intended to provide potential offerors with a summary of the subject procurement. This notice is for information only, is subject to modification, and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to solicit contractual offers or award contracts. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any questions submitted or information provided as a result of this notice. If a solicitation is issued in the future, it will be announced via the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov and interested parties must comply with that announcement. Interested offerors should monitor the FBO website for updates pertaining to this procurement.
