- This is a pre-solicitation notice. NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound (FLC PS) will be soliciting for Curtiss-Wright field service technician(s), parts, and special tools to perform repairs. The U.S. Ship Repair Facility-Japan Regional Maintenance Center (SRF-JRMC) Sasebo Detachment, Japan has a requirement for field service technician(s), parts, and special tools to complete class B overhauls of the number one and two high pressure air compressors (HPAC). The HPACs are onboard a Whidbey Island-class, dock landing ship (LSD) located in Sasebo, Japan. The desired period of performance begins in September of 2019 and ends in February of 2020. Repairs will be conducted in accordance with the solicitation specifications. Shipping terms will be FOB origin with government arranged shipping. This acquisition will be negotiated on a basis of other than full and open competition. Curtiss-Wright is the only qualified contractor capable of manufacturing, evaluating, and repairing the HPACs on the Whidbey Island-class LSD. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals prior to offer due date. A determination to compete this action based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted to the NECO website on or about 15 July 2019 with proposals due by 22 July 2019. A Firm-Fixed Price, Service type contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR parts 12 and 13, Commercial and Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: https://www.neco.navy.mil. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents. No telephone or fax requests will be accepted, and no hard-copy solicitation/amendment will be mailed or faxed. Emailed completed solicitations are acceptable. Electronic submission of proposals/quotes via NECO is not available at this time.
