Description
The Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Region has a requirement for a Bridge Crane repair at the Mount Elbert Power plant 20 miles southwest of Leadville Colorado. The Request for Quotation using procedures prescribed by FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items in conjunction with FAR Part 13.5 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be posted on or about June 26, 2019. There will be a site visit at the Mount Elbert Power plant in mid-July. Thereafter, the full solicitation package may be accessed via link to this synopsis at www.fedbizopps.gov. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded with a period of performance 10/1/2019 through 9/30/2020. PROJECT Description: The requirement consists of removing and disposing of existing bridge crane motors and control equipment, electrical wiring, associated enclosures, and trolley power rails; furnishing, installing, and testing new motors and variable frequency drive (VFD) crane controls, and trolley festoon power system; removing and disposing of hoist ropes; furnishing and installing new hoist ropes; performing system checkout and commissioning, operation and maintenance training and certified crane load tests; and certifying crane lifting devices. The requirement also includes performing a thorough non-destructive examination of the bridge crane components by a combination of methods including: visual inspection, magnetic particle inspection, ultrasonic testing inspection, and dye penetration testing. Servicing of all component lubrication is included in the work. This action shall be a total small business set aside. The NAICS for this acquisition is 811310 with a total small business size standard of 7.5 million. Product Service code is J039.
