- Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) has a requirement to procure the upgrade of the Automated Waterjet Coating Removal System located in building 133, Shop 93202, Engine Parts Repair Shop located at Cherry Point, NC 28533 at Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE). This requirement is defined as the Contractor providing all required services (procurement, transportation, inspection, engineering, installation, removal, rigging, mechanical, electrical, welding, machining, alignment, programming, start-up, testing), parts, tools and materials to successfully perform and complete all required operations. The required operations to upgrade the Automated Waterjet Coating Removal System and/or associated network components include: 1) Install a replacement viewing window. 2) Install new LED light fixtures inside waterjet booth. 3) Stainless Steel cover plates will be installed to cover the dented wall on the interior of the waterjet booth. 4) Install a new robot protective suit. The new robot suit will be attached to the existing blower to purge the suit with air. 5) Install a new mist collector. The new mist collector will be constructed with a stainless steel housing to prevent corrosion. 6) Install a new waterjet pump. A new Jet Edge 60-150 intensifier pump will be provided. 7) Install a new water filter skid. The new bag filter skid will include three (3) new filters: two (2) 25 micron filters and one (1)10-micron filter. The 25 micron filters will be plumbed in parallel allowing filter bag changes during operation. The filter housing will use a three swing bolts to seal the housing cover. 8) The PRIMS computer will be upgraded to a Windows10 PC and the PLC will be upgraded to an Allen Bradley SLC 5/05 to enable Ethernet communication with the new PRIMS computer. 9) One week of training will be provided at Cherry Point, NC.
