Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 6, Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center, Richmond, VA intends to award a contract for the purchase of an arthroscopy tower and Supplies. This is to replace the current existing end of life arthroscopy tower. The NAICS code for this requirement is 339112 and business size standard of 1,250 employees. This is not a request for bids, quotes, or proposals. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT announcement only. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified businesses. The responses to this announcement will assist in determining the socio-economic set aside if feasible. VA is required by Public Law 109-461 to give first priority to SDVOSB and VOSB concerns if there should be sufficient firms available to compete under a set aside. If insufficient veteran owned and small business response is received to establish the basis for setting this action aside for other than large business participation then the action will be advertised as full and open competition, in which case, all interested parties responding shall be eligible to bid. The Richmond VA Medical Center, located at 1201 Broad Rock Blvd, Richmond, VA 23249 is seeking a potential qualified contractor than can provide the following items stated in the Salient Characteristics (no gray market items accepted): Salient Characteristics of orthopedic arthroscopy tower Functions to be performed: To replace current end of life arthroscopy tower. The arthroscopy tower enables orthopedic surgeon to scope, diagnose and repair joint spaces without the need to open the joint. Performance required: 4k monitor for 4 towers Camera heads with multiple sterilization modalities steam and chemical wireless control of camera function for image enhancement Ability to stream images within McGuire s integrated room 30 and 70 deg hd lens for large 8 each deg and small joint 4 with real time video image enhancement. On screen menu ie light source, image/video capture Led light source with ability for software upgrades Fluid pump with flow rate up to 2.5 lpm out flow and digital display Shaver /resection system Image capture system x4 Essential Physical Characteristics: 26 in or greater 4k monitor x4 Video processor for 4k x4 4k camera heads x12 Led light source x4, fluid pump with flow rate up to 2.5 lpm x4 Shaver/ resection hand piece with low exothermic temp x8 Color printer or image capture x4 Scope diameter for large joint is to be 4.0 mm x 12 and small joint is 2.7 mm x4 True 4k technology 4k camera, 4k processor, and 4k monitor Shaver / resection system x4 Sheath for 2.7 and 4.0 x10 each Obturator for each size above x10 Fiber Light cable 3.5 mm x12 Sheaths 5.5,6.0,6.3 with obturator x8 each 4.1 sheath and obturator x4 This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach.
