Description

INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single, Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) contract using FAR 15 selection procedures for the Renovate D-Wing Basement for Dental project at the Fayetteville VAMC. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The contractor will be required to renovate the D-Wing basement to create a dental space at the Fayetteville VAMC in accordance with the plans and specifications. The project entails the renovation of approximately 18,100 GSF of D and A wings on the basement level of Building 1 and will also add approximately 1,082 SF of new mechanical space. The work includes but is not limited to the following: demolition of interior walls, ceiling grid, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, flooring, etc.; framing, drywalling, finishing and painting; mechanical; electrical; plumbing; exterior improvements; etc. Performance of this work shall meet all State, Federal, and Veterans Affairs regulations and requirements as indicated in the plans and specifications. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 15, 19, and 36 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Proposals received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $36.5 Million. The solicitation will be issued on or about August 2019. The period of performance is approximately 365 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.
