Description
THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. NOTICE TEXT: This is a Notice of Intent to Sole Source award on the basis of other than full and open competition in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, as the unique services are only available from one source and awarding to any other source would not fulfill the agency's requirements. This is not a request for Quotes or Proposals. No contract award will be made on the basis of response to this notice. The purpose of this notice is to allow interested parties to assert and explain their capability to perform the work described. The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), Fort Detrick, Maryland, in support of the United States Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR), intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Mesa Laboratories, located at 12100 W 6th Avenue, Lakewood, CO, 80228-1252 to provide preventative maintenance services for the following instruments currently in use at USAISR. The required services shall include all parts, labor, and travel expenses. Mesa Laboratories is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the AmegaView Monitoring System. Maintenance of the equipment can only be provided by the manufacturer who is the source of factory parts, proprietary software and factory trained maintenance technicians. The expected period of performance will be for twelve (12) months with an option to extend the contract for four (4) additional twelve (12) month optional periods IAW FAR 52.217-9, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 811219 NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (19-JUN-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
