Description
This is a sources sought announcement only. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified potential offerors. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The Government is not obligated to, nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Hampton VA Medical Center is seeking potential sources capable of providing maintenance and repair of medical gas equipment. The Contractor will be required to perform inspections and produce reports associated with the service provided. Work on this contract will be accomplished during the first two (2) weeks of October, January, April and July each contract year. The Medical Gas equipment items are considered mission-critical and function in direct support of patient care at the facility. Contractor personnel must be formally certified (ASSE 6040) to accomplish all tasks associated with this contract. In-accordance with the Maintenance Plan/Schedule accomplish preventive maintenance and service to include cleaning equipment; and providing and replacing routine parts and materials such as oil, filters (air and oil), belts, desiccant and any other manufacturer recommended items. Applicable NAICS Code is 811219 with a size standard of $20.5 million. Responses to this sources sought notice should include the following: 1. Company name, address and DUNS number; 2. business size (large or small) and identify if the firm falls into any of the following socioeconomic categories: Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), 8(a) or HubZone, other socioeconomic category (woman owned, minority-owned, etc), small business with no special socioeconomic category, or large business 4. a capability statement/brief description of qualifications and any other pertinent information, which demonstrates ability to meet the above requirement.
