Description
Questions and answers. 1. Is it an instrument in a "box" or is it an inverted microscope with a camera? Answer: The instrument should be in a closed system to avoid needing a dark room for viewing images with fluorescence - this will require the stage to be in a fully contained built in darkroom. 2. What are the components that we need to match? Answer: a. The existing objective lenses and filter cubes as mentioned in the specifications list are what we need to be compatible with the new instrument. 3. What is the illumination? Answer: a.The microscope shall include a fluorescent incident illumination, transmitted illumination optical system (at an operating distance of 45mm with an auto lamp shut off function), and a transmitted illumination mechanism [with electronic brightfield apertures (0-100% in 20% increments) and phase contrast slit (PhL, Ph1, Ph2)]. b. A 3.7W LED and an 80W metal halide lamp would be the included light sources 4. What is the camera source? Answer: a. The camera is to be included in the microscope system and allow for all functions mentioned in the specifications list. b. Camera unit needs to include: i. Image receiving element - 2/3 inch, 2.83 million pixel monochrome CCD ii. CCD cooling mechanism - Peltier cooling: 5ºC iii. Output signal, gradations - 14-bit/8-bit monochrome, 8-bit R/G/B iv. Frame rate - 15 fps for monochrome recording, 8.5 fps for color recording v. Number of pixels in recorded image - 4080 x 3060 max (12.5 megapixel, high quality interpolation) vi. Video capture, electronic shutter, auto exposure method, Gain, white balance, Black balance, and observation software as mentions in specification list. 5. What Microscope is already in use? Answer: Currently we are using the Keyence 9000, and we are looking to upgrade with enhanced technologies. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (05-JUN-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
