Description

Synopsis: NASA/NSSC has a requirement for High Temp Unsteady Pressure Transducers designed to be used in Powered Descent Wind Tunnel Models. NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to Kulite Semiconductor Products, Inc. at One Willow Tree Rd. Leonia, New Jersey, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). It has been determined that Kulite Semiconductor Products, Inc. is the sole provider of High Temp Unsteady Pressure Transducers designed to be used in Powered Descent Wind Tunnel Models. NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at NASA/ Ames Research Center (ARC). The Government intends to acquire commercial items and services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 336413. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 336413. It is the Governments belief, that only the equipment OEM or an authorized reseller in possession of the required OEM equipment. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to provide these services are invited to submit complete information discussing the same within (3) calendar days from this notice posting. The information submitted must include a letter from the OEM verifying the Offeror is an authorized service distributor and verifying the OEM will supply only genuine OEM equipment and/or parts. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on June 10, 2019. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
