Repair cracking roof parapets on 12 residential buildings within the Needles District housing area of Canyonlands National Park. Provide and install stucco repairs as described in Part 3.2.B. The Contractor shall provide and apply two elastomeric paint coatings on 5,430 linear feet of the parapet cap and four-foot tall interior roof walls (~ 12,000 sq. ft.) by spraying. The Contractor shall protect the existing roof and exterior building walls from overspray. The Contractor shall be responsible for any restoration of surfaces impacted by overspray. B. Qualifications. The Contractor shall have a minimum of five years of experience in the field of stucco application. Provide any other information on technical qualifications and training of the installation crew with the required submittal C. The Contractor is required to provide all equipment for off-loading materials and repair of the stucco parapets. The Park will not provide any equipment. PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS A. Salient Features of Elastomeric Coating 1. Type: Elastomeric. 2. Texture: Fine pebble. 3. Usage: Designed for surface coating of exterior stucco surface. 4. Binder: Designed to bridge hairline cracks ‰¤ 1/16 inch. 5. Mildew Resistant. 6. Dirt Resistant. 7. Low Temperature Flexibility. 8. Plasticizer Free. 9. Approved product. a. Dryvit Weatherlast Elastomeric Coating, Sandpebble Fine. b. Other products meeting the salient features may be submitted for approval as an equal. B. Patching Sealant 1. Elastomeric adhesive caulk compatible with the elastomeric coating in Section A. 2. Approved products: a. #5100 Plastiflex Elastomeric Adhesive Caulk (brush grade). b. #5200 Plastiflex Elastomeric Patching Compound (knife grade). c. Other products meeting the salient features may be submitted for approval as an equal. C. Salient Features of Elastomeric Paint 1. Type: 100 % Acrylic Elastomeric wall sealant (paint). 2. Usage: Designed for surface coating of exterior stucco surface. 3. Binder: Designed to bridge hairline cracks ‰¤ 1/16 inch. 4. Color: Submit test color sample to match existing parapet color. 5. VOC content: ‰¤ 230 g/L. 6. Thinning: Do Not Thin or Reduce product. 7. Approved products: a. Dunn Edwards Enduralastic 5 paint. b. PPG Perma-Crete surface sealer paint. c. Other products meeting the salient features may be submitted for approval as an equal. (10) Period of Performance: Estimated Period of performance is 10/1/2019 “ 11/14/2019. (12) a. (14) Place of Contract Performance: Delivery Location and Instructions: This remote work site is located in Canyonlands National Park, Needles District. This is approximately 75 miles south and west of Moab, UT, 84532. From Moab, Utah travel south on U.S. Highway 191 approximately 40 miles, then turn west on Route 211 for approximately 35 miles to the Needles District entrance station. The residential housing area is located one mile west of the entrance station, on the left side of Route 211. Turn left after a quarter mile on an asphalt road to reach the housing area. (15) Set-aside Status: Total Small Business Set-Aside. NAICS 238140 Stucco Contractor Size Standard $15.0 million (16) Estimated Construction Magnitude: Between $100,000 and $250,000.
