This request is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential qualifications of Small Businesses, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, and Veteran-Owned Small Business firms relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 339113 (Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing). The Department of Veteran s Affairs is seeking small business manufacturer or distributors of small business manufacturers, of functionally equivalent equipment to all the following: 1. Items Needed: One (9) Scope Storage Cabinet (Part Number) (Quantity) (Description) #1. (DAS-9P-LHG-HA) (1) ( One (9) Scope Storage Cabinet) (must include the following salient characteristics:) 1. Powder coated metal nine (9) scope storage cabinet that delivers hospital regulated medical grade air through the lumens. 2. Nine (9) SAS scope holders. 3. TruHepa fan. 4. Scope separator rack. 5. Locking hinged tempered glass doors. 6. Padded walls. 7. Removeable drip tray. 8. Quick disconnect air manifold. 9. Door activated cabinet lighting 10. Six (6) foot 120V/10amp NEMA 5-15 wall cord. 11. Dimensions 41 W x 19 D x 92 H 12. Flexible scope storage cabinet that provides HEPA filtered, pressurized airflow into The cabinet and continuous air pressure through each lumen scope. 13. Allows scopes to hang vertically and freely. 14. Must meet AORN, SGNA, JC requirements for flexible scope storage 15. Must have HEPA filter removing up to 0/3um. 16. Must have self-contained air compressor system or connect to hospital provided Medical instrument grade compressed air 17. Must have hinged not roll up doors and must be glass. 18. Must have max air pressure of 25PSI 19. Must hang at minimum 9 flexible scopes vertically and freely 20. Must plug in 120V wall plug 21. Must have door activated LED lighting 22. Must have capability to hang scope 100 long without touching bottom of cabinet. #2. (DAS-truConnect-Duo1) (9) (Scope connector and attaching system) (must include the following salient characteristics:) 1. MASS Medical scope connector and system to attach to the MASS Medical Storage DAS line of scope drying cabinets. For Olympus Colon, Gastro and Endoscopic Scopes. The Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53295 has a need to acquire One Scope Storage Cabinet that will hold 9 scopes separately. This Scope Storage Cabinet is needed for the Community Based Outpatient Clinics located at the Milo C. Huempfner VA CBOC, 2851 University Avenue, Green Bay, WI 54311. This Scope Storage Cabinet will hold and store many scopes that are used on many different Veterans procedures. This Scope Storage Cabinet will allow the highest quality of Veteran care to be given to all Veterans within every Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The place of performance and delivery is Department of Veterans Affairs, Milo C. Huempfner VA CBOC, 2851 University Avenue, Green Bay, WI 54311. ** To prevent Gray Market Items within the VA, the following is also placed within this sources sought notice: ** (a) Gray market items are Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) goods sold through unauthorized channels in direct competition with authorized distributors. This procurement is for new OEM medical supplies, medical equipment and/or services contracts for maintenance of medical equipment (i.e. replacement parts) for VA Medical Centers. No remanufactures or gray market items will be acceptable. (b) Vendor shall be an OEM, authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller for the proposed medical supplies, medical equipment and/or services contracts for maintenance of medical equipment (i.e. replacement parts), verified by an authorization letter or other documents from the OEM, such that the OEM s warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM. All software licensing, warranty and service associated with the medical supplies, medical equipment and/or services contracts for maintenance of medical equipment shall be in accordance with the OEM terms and conditions. (c) The delivery of gray market items to the VA in the fulfillment of an order/award constitutes a breach of contract. Accordingly, the VA reserves the right to enforce any of its contractual remedies. This includes termination of the contract or, solely at the VA s election, allowing the Vendor to replace, at no cost to the Government, any remanufactured or gray market item(s) delivered to a VA medical facility upon discovery of such items. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION. Please be advised that the Government will not pay for any information submitted under this announcement. The applicable North American Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 339113 (Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing), and the small business size standard is 750 employees.
