Description
Veterans Health Affairs, Network Contracting Office 5, is issuing this Notice of Intent to Sole Source in order to identify any potential sources that have the resources and capabilities to provide a comprehensive vehicle for Medical & Mental Health clinical professionals. Training courses will be conducted at the Martinsburg, WV, VA Medical Center. Veterans Health Affairs, Network Contracting Office 5, is issuing this Notice of Intent to Sole Source in order to identify any potential sources that have the resources and capabilities to provide Continuing Medical Education/Continuing Education Units (CMEs/CEUs) to Medical & Mental Health clinical professionals. SERVICES REQUIRED Contractor is to provide on-site educational programming for the staff at Martinsburg VA Medical Center during the term of July 1, 2019 through April 30, 2020. Contractor will provide a minimum of 5 educational activities not to exceed 6 educational activities, which are 5 one day (8 hrs) and 1 two-day course (16hrs) and will train a maximum of 30 staff per session. Each participant will receive 7 CEU s for attending. Training titles are to be determined by the Martinsburg Education Learning Resources Chief based on the facilities yearly educational learning needs assessment, but not limited to, and may be modified based on current patient needs and the needs of the Hospital. Additionally, training must lead to CEUs/CMEs being awarded that are recognized across a broad spectrum of accrediting agencies for professional medical personnel (Physicians, Nurses, Pharmacists, Dieticians, Physical Therapists, etc.). The company will be responsible to provide all training materials and supplies for up to thirty attendees per class. Courses to be taught: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Certificate Course -2 day Intensive Training Nutritional & Integrative Interventions for Mental Health Disorders; Non-Pharmaceutical Interventions for Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar & ADHD Hands-On Physical Assessment; More Patients, Less Time Psychopharmacology: What You Need to Know Today About Psychiatric Medications The Ultimate One-Day Diabetes Course Title TBD These six courses will provide CEUs for a broad spectrum of medical personnel that is recognized by their respective accrediting agencies. Each course will be designed to meet the educational needs of Physicians (General & Specialist), Nurses, Pharmacists, Dieticians, etc. INTERESTED & CAPABLE RESPONSES: NCO 5 is seeking responses from businesses that are interested in this procurement and consider themselves to have the resources, rights, and capabilities necessary to provide these services.
