The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of qualified, potential contractors and their socio-economic size classification in accordance with NAICS code 238330, Flooring Contractors. The Department of Veteran Affairs is conducting market research to determine the availability of firms capable of providing Flooring Removal and Installation Service for the Iowa City VA Health Care System (VAHCS), located at 601 Highway 6 West, Iowa City IA 52246-2209. The purpose of this email is to gain knowledge of qualified potential contractors concerning this opportunity. The Iowa City VAHCS is seeking qualified potential contractors to provide Flooring Removal and Installation Services for approximately 2508 square feet. The work consists of removing current Teknoflor sheet vinyl flooring, provide floor preparation for new install, and install Government-provided Nora Rubber Tiles over Nora Dryfix adhesive tape. Contractor will be required to provide and install new base material. To retain the Nora product warranty, potential contractors MUST be a certified Nora installer. Please include a copy of your Nora Installer certification with your response. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Please identify the size of your business as reported in the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov/ and whether your firm is a verified VIP SDVOSB/VOSB business at https://www.vip.vetbiz.va.gov/. To respond to this Sources Sought Notice, please send your contact information by 3:00 PM Central Standard Time (CST), May 27, 2019, by email to John Becker, john.becker3@va.gov. This is not a solicitation and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. Additionally, a response to this Sources Sought Notice is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is strictly for market research purposes only. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI.
