Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to the American Academy of Pediatrics for the production and publishing of a 100-page supplement focused on School-Located Influenza Vaccination in the journal Pediatrics. Pediatrics is unique in its readership, authority among pediatric professionals, and high scientific stature. The topic of school-located influenza vaccination is timely and important and has the attention of pediatricians and family physicians, federal, state, and local public health program staff, policy makers, health plans, schools, government entities, and other vaccine stakeholders. These critically important stakeholders are represented by the readership of Pediatrics, making a dedicated issue an ideal means of communicating the science, policy, program, and recommendations concerning School-Located Influenza Vaccination. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
