Description

Description: The U.S. Army Contracting Command-New Jersey, on behalf of Combat Capability Development Command (CCDC) Armaments Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ is currently seeking potential sources for the manufacture, inspection and delivery of stainless steel lightweight metal injection molded, tube and cases. Purpose of this sources sought is to identify vendors with the ability to manufacture metal injection mold small caliber ammunition tubes and case in various small caliber ammunition calibers/designs. Specifications: The lightweight 7.62x51mm tube, 6.5 Creedmoor (CM) tube, and additional small caliber ammunition tube variants shall be produced and accepted to Government provided detailed government drawings. Initial source proposals, capabilities, cost, and schedule estimates may be based upon SAAMI specifications for 7.62x51mm and 6.5 Creedmoor tubes and cases. Vendor must demonstrate the ability to manufacture metal injection molded, sinter, heat treat, case neck, and finish 7.62x51mm, 6.5 Creedmoor (CM) as well as build custom fabrication processes for any non-standard but similar Government designs.
