- PROJECT LOCATION: Loess Bluffs National Wildlife Refuge ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $250,000.and $500,000. A firm fixed priced contract is anticipated. To be eligible for award current registration is required in the System for Award Management (SAM). To register go to the SAM website at https://www/sam.gov Registration is free. PROJECT TITLE: The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) has issued this Request for Proposal, for Loess Bluffs NWR Headquarters Windows, Siding Replacement, and Auditorium Remodel. SOCIOECONOMIC PROGRAMS: This procurement is set-aside exclusively for small business concerns. For information purposes, the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with a standard of $36.50 million. The Request for Proposals will be due on or around on June 19, 2019 at 1300 CT local time. The Solicitation Package includes the following: Clauses, Notice to Offerors, specifications, Drawings, Pre-Con Safety Checklist, Itemized Bid Schedule, Prevailing Wage Determination, and Bid Bond Form. Please ensure you have a complete downloaded Solicitation before your Bid. It is the Contractor's responsibility to ensure that they receive all appropriate solicitation documents to submit a competitive Bid. PROJECT CONSISTS OF: This work includes, but is not limited to, project mobilization and demobilization, project management and oversight, and removal of all waste generated during performance of the work. The Base Bid includes, but is not limited to the following items: 1. Demolition of the following: existing siding system, soffits, exterior metal doors and frames, one exterior window, attic insulation and air barrier, wainscoting, drywall, batt insulation, carpet, acoustical ceiling tiles and grid, lighting, and miscellaneous electrical items. 2. Supply and installation of the following: fibercement board and batten siding system, metal soffit panel system, insulated metal doors, frames, and hardware, one exterior window, foam-in-place insulation and ignition barrier, drywall, rubber base, acoustical ceiling tiles and grid, lighting fixtures, miscellaneous electrical items, wood blocking and bracing, metal clips, ties, and truss connecting plates for the roof truss system, exterior electric outlet covers with GFCI outlets, exterior light fixtures, frost-proof spigots, restroom exhaust vent ducting, and refinishing an existing storefront. 3. Excavation and backfilling to facilitate installation of foundation damp-proofing, rigid insulation, metal flashing, underground roof drain piping, and perforated drain tile. Grading of existing soils and importing fill material as required to provide positive water drainage away from building. Landscaping to include a river rock firebreak, steel edging, topsoil, and seeding.
