Description

META will be an Open BAA to address challenges that face research, development, assessment, demonstration and transition of sensing autonomy technologies. The goal of this effort is to investigate, study, explore, examine, inquire, exploit, advance and solve the areas of research described below which are very innovative, high risk, and fundamental to advance research projects which address some particular sensing autonomy challenge. This research effort covers all sensing autonomy technologies including modeling, simulation and analysis (MS&A); multi-domain, multi-sensor data management, collection, experimentation and phenomenology investigation; as well as learning technologies, algorithms and computing for knowledge and understanding. The effort is estimated to be 10% basic, 75% applied and 15% advanced research. The majority of the projected TRL's for the various research efforts range from TRL1 to TRL 4.
