Description
VA St. Louis Health Care System The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO 15) is conducting market research to help determine the availability and technical capabilities of qualified vendors who can provide one total Driving Simulation System with training to the VA Medical Center, St. Louis, Missouri. POTENTIAL SOURCES SHALL PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IN THEIR RESPONSE: 1.) Company name, address, phone number, primary contact(s), e-mail addresses, NAICS code(s), business size (i.e. small/large), and DUNS Number. 2.) Statement of capability that demonstrates ability of providing the item in accordance with the attached Statement of Requirements, and past performance in providing this type of service. Include examples of prior completed Government contracts, references, and other related information. This notice is to assist the NCO 15 in determining sources only. This announcement is not a request for proposals or quotations. The Government is not committed to award a contract pursuant to this announcement. The Government will not pay for any costs incurred in the preparation or submission of information in response to this announcement. All questions and responses must be submitted no later than 11 a.m. (CST) on May 14, 2019 to Esperanza Roberts at Esperanza.Roberts@va.gov. Any proprietary information should be clearly identified as proprietary information. Statement of Requirements: The VA St. Louis Health Care System (Jefferson Barracks Division) needs one compact driving simulation system that is optimized for use in clinical settings. This driving simulation system will be used as a clinical tool for occupational and physical therapy of patients at the St. Louis VA. The main purpose for this system is to provide driver rehabilitation and driving performance measurement for ambulatory, wheelchair transfer and non-transfer patients. Equipment Specifications: The Driving Simulation system shall meet the following minimum specifications: Simulation Cab: Includes live steering wheel with active force feedback Automatic transmission gear selection Turn signals Speedometer Gas and brake pedals Bariatric seat Provide at least 7 inches of fore/aft adjustment Electric seat lift that allows for a vertical adjustment of at least 4 inches Display Monitors Must have a minimum of 3 monitors At least 19 inches LED display monitors Optimized for patient comfort and effectiveness Have ability to adjust forward and backward Audio Speakers Includes dynamic panning Doppler-shift effects Subwoofer Driving console is fully height-adjustable Additional equipment for various patient types: Built-in left-foot accelerator that can be removed and stored when not in use Removable seat platform to allow for full wheelchair access Wheelchair transfer frame Various mounts for hand controls: push/rock, push/right angle, push/pull and spinner knob for steering wheel Driving Simulation Software Software must include various exercises and scenarios designed to provide driver rehabilitation and driving performance measurement Should include real-time driving and traffic simulation Printer for report generation The entire system should fit through 36- inch doors to allow for easy placement and set up Clinical Feedback: Display for on-screen scores and results and the ability to physically print these results Output data files with recorded performance measures for each patient Raw data collection that provides time history of driver controls, vehicle states and other details of each session Warranty 1-year manufacturer s warranty 3-year technical support and software maintenance Onsite installation Onsite training NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (08-MAY-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
