- N00164-19-S-NB78 - SOURCES SOUGHT - Rangefinder Technical Specification and Salient Characteristics - FSC 1240 - NAICS 333316 Issued Date: 7 May 2019 - Closing Date: 13 May 2019 MARKET SURVEY - SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: The Government is issuing this sources-sought announcement as part of a market survey for information only, to be used for preliminary planning purposes. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this synopsis. Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane Division has been tasked in seeking vendors who can provide a Rangefinder in accordance with Salient Characteristics for brand name or equal to Laserdyne, P/N L-GM20-NS1, Mil Green. Proposed project will be a Firm Fixed Price contract. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests. Responses in any form are not Request for Quotes (RFQ), Invitation for Bids (IFB), or Request for Proposal (RFP). Issuance of the Sources Sought does not impose any obligation on the Department of the Navy or NSWC Crane and does not signify a firm commitment to issue a solicitation or a contract. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of various members of the Small Business Community to include Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUB-Zone), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) to compete and perform a Firm Fixed Price Contract. The type of solicitation to issue will depend upon the responses to this sources sought synopsis. The Government must ensure there is adequate competition among the potential pool of responsive contractors. North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this acquisition is 333316. Small Business Size Standard for this acquisition is 1000 employees. Under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) guidelines, the prime contractor must have the capability to perform at least 15 percent of the contract work with his/her own employees.
