- The National Park Service, Intermountain Region, Santa Fe Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) to resurface Mexican Battleline Trail and Backfill and Grade Trail Edges at Palo Alto Battlefield National Historical Park, Brownsville, Texas. The work consists of all labor, materials and equipment to remove and dispose of the existing 4 inch asphalt trail surface and replace with a 4 inch concrete trail surface/sidewalk. The main problem with the existing trail is excessive cracking and aging of the existing 4 inch asphalt trail surface. The trail is 5-feet wide. There are NO culverts, boardwalks, etc., that need to be removed or worked around. The Mexican Battleline Trail is approximately 945 linear feet in length with a 40 foot diameter turnaround at the far end of the trail. There is also a side trail approximately 26 linear feet in length with a 14 foot diameter turnaround at the end of it. Solicitation Number: 140P1319Q0014 Project Magnitude: Between $100,000 and $250,000 Type of Contract: This will be a firm-fixed price contract will be awarded on a best value basis. Evaluation Factors: Prior Experience, Past Performance, and Price. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code Classification and Set Aside: The NAICS Code is 238910, and the size standard is $15 million. This project is set aside 100% for Small Business. Site Visit: A site visit has been scheduled for Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. Please meet at the Palo Alto Visitor Center. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may effect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance.
