Page 2 of 2 May 3, 2019 36C24619Q0543 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6), Durham VAMC, Durham, NC 27705, intends to award a contract for the purchase of Audio / Visual Equipment. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334310 and business size standard of 750 employees. This is not a request for bids, quotes or proposals. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT announcement only. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified businesses. The responses to this announcement will assist in determining the socio-economic set aside if feasible. Dept of Veterans Affairs is required by Public Law 109-461 to give first priority to Service Disabled Veterans Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veterans Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) concerns; if there should be sufficient firms available to compete under a set aside. If insufficient SDVOSB, VOSB; than the requirement will be set aside for a Small Businesses. If there are no sufficient Small Business respondents, the agency will then advertise as Full and Open Competition. In which case, all interested parties responding shall be eligible to provide and offer. GSA Schedule holders are able to respond to this Sources Sought Notification. The potential qualified vendor should be able to provide the following OR EQUAL TO (No gray Market items accepted): *The requirement will have an installation/service component. **Service will include the removal of existing equipment and merging of the existing equipment with the newly purchased equipment. Contractor will provide and install all hardware necessary hardware and field verify all dimensions and conditions prior to starting work. The Contractor will remove the 11 foot long ceiling mounted retractable projector screen from Building 16 room 58 and give it to Engineering Service. Equipment to be relocated from Building 16 (See Attachment 1): Overhead Projector (NEC P502Wl-2) Front Podium with all components (JVC VHS/DVD player, Extron AUT100 tuner, UPS, Audio/Video Mux/Inverter) Control cabinet with all electronic components (Microphone bases, Power distribution bar, external video input, UPS) 2 Handheld Microphones 2 Clip-on Wireless Microphones New Equipment to be installed and integrated (no specific brand required, but Must be compatible/merge with existing equipment). 6 Ceiling mounted speakers, Minimum of 25 watt 6 Transformers, 70V to 8ohm, (if required by speakers for proper interface) 1 Screen, at least 120 Wide, Fixed Projector Screen All Speaker wire, cables, and miscellaneous hardware for speakers and screen All needed audio/video interface cables, wires and hardware needed to reconnect moved equipment and properly interface with new equipment This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested, nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. All responses to this notice shall include: company name, address, point of contact, phone number, DUNNS number (www.dnb.com ), procurement source (open market or GSA Schedule), the geographical location the respondent is able to service, and documentation of an authorized distributor certification (if a brand name product is intended for offer should the requirement go to solicitation).
