Vendor participation is not a promise of future business with the Government. The purpose of this SS is to conduct Market Research to determine an acquisition strategy for a one-time firm fixed-priced purchase order to purchase two CO2 incubators. The Research Service located at the Cincinnati VAMC needs to procure two CO2 incubator to perform experiments. Currently we have four lab members actively doing cell culture in two incubators, and they have constant humidity and CO2 maintenance issues, due to which we sometimes have only one functional one. The cell incubators are already crowded at times, and with new students joining the lab this summer through the University of Cincinnati s Summer Undergraduate Research Program, we are sure to have more cell culture incubator users on the way. The cell culture incubator maintains the proper temperature, humidity, and CO2 levels necessary to culture healthy mammalian cells in order to perform all cell based experiments. For our xenograft animal model too, we first need to grow sufficient cells to inject the animals and grow the tumor. The cell culture incubator is used to both maintain cell populations, and to keep cells healthy under various experiments. Maintaining health mammalian cells. This incubator must be able to maintain a temperature of 37 degrees Celsius and a CO2 level of 5%. Sterilization of system. The incubator must also have racks which can be disassembled and removed for proper cleaning with 70% ethanol once a week. The inside walls of this incubator must also be able to handle a 70% ethanol cleaning once a week. They should be autoclavable or heat sterilizable. Potential sources must demonstrate experience and knowledge of required services and capability to provide such services. Potential sources should submit: business name and address; point of contact; business size, and any applicable business socio-economic category; capability statement; provide information for recent and relevant projects similar in nature; DUNS number; contract number if applicable; and brochure of equipment. The NAICS code for this procurement is 339113 and the small business size standard is 750 employees.
