Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to negotiate and award a contract modification to a previously awarded contract (N00024-14-C-5315) for the hardware production, fabrication, and manufacturing of one (1) additional option for a FY20 Air and Missile Defense Radar (AMDR) AN/SPY-6(V)1 shipset on a sole source basis to Raytheon Company, 1001 Boston Post Road E, Marlborough, Massachusetts 01752. The requirement is for the production, fabrication, and manufacturing of one AN/SPY-6(V)1 shipset with an anticipated delivery date of September 2023. The contemplated contract will be awarded pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). Raytheon is the only company with the requisite expertise, knowledge, experience and facilities necessary to meet these requirements without unacceptable delays. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Raytheon Company directly. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any questions submitted or information provided as a result of this notice. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
