No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The Government will not pay for any information solicited. The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6, on behalf of the Fayetteville VA Medical Center, is conducting market research to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, 8(a), Woman Owned Small Business or HUBZone interests to determine whether to set-aside an acquisition to Apartment Housing for Resident Medical Students rotating through the Fayetteville VA Medical Center (VAMC). The Department of Veteran Affairs, VAMC Fayetteville, Fayetteville North Carolina seeks a contractor to provide apartments for Resident Medical Students enrolled in the Ophthalmology Residency Program in affiliation with the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. The contractor shall furnish an apartment to the resident student(s) that are rotating through the VAMC as part of their surgical/medical training. The contract facility shall be located within 15 miles of the Fayetteville VA Health Care Center (HCC), 7300 S Raeford Road, Fayetteville, NC. The number of apartments required is three (3). The facility will provide three apartments at one location. Each apartment will have a minimum of 900 square feet in total living area. The contractor shall furnish each Ophthalmology Resident(s) authorized under this contract with the following basic services: a. A two (2) bedroom apartment to include a queen-sized bed and other furnishings such as a dresser, storage, and alarm clock. b. The apartment will have a kitchen that will be fully furnished with an updated 9ven, microwave oven, coffee maker, full size refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, kitchen sink, place settings for four (4), a toaster, can opener, coffee pot, large frying pan, sauce pans, cutting knives, utensils. In addition, a variety of sizes of glasses and coffee cups. c. A living/dining/study area that will include a dining table with seating for (4) with chairs. The living area will include at least a 32" screen color television and cushion sofa and a minimum of (2) chairs. d. The apartment will have working WI-Fl internet and cable services. e. The bathroom will have at a minimum of a bathtub with a working shower head, to include shower curtain. A sink with a small vanity, mirror, and toilet. A plunger, brush and bucket will be provided in the bathroom. f. A fire alarm and carbon monoxide detector. g. Patrons will have a designated parking space and a visitor parking area will be provided for guest. h. Patrons will have access to a washer and dryer. i. The apartment will be a smoke free environment. j. The apartment will have a working air conditioner and heating unit with a working thermostat that can be adjusted by the occupant. k. Any windows in the apartment will have curtains that can be opened and shut. I. No pets will be allowed on this contract. m. The apartments will be free of bugs, roaches, flies, and any other insects. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 531110, Size Standard $20.5 Million Dollar, and the Product Service Code (PSC) Classification is X1FA.
