Description
The purpose of this Amendment is to provide answers to Vendor questions. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. QUESTION 1:   Would the Government please change the solicitation to a functional specification, rather than a brand name or equal?   ANSWER:   No, this remains a Brand Name or Equal solicitation QUESTION 2:   Regarding the Salient Characteristics for CLIN 0003 for drawer and bin sizes, would the Government please clarify that drawer and bin sizes of plus/minus 1.5 inches from the part numbers specified will be technically acceptable?   ANSWER:   Yes, drawer and bin sizes of plus/minus 1.5 inches from the part numbers specified will be technically acceptable as long the minimum required salient characteristic required for CLIN 0003 is met; the Tier Configuration Sets quoted Must be compatible with Powered Cart quoted for CLIN 0002 and CLIN 0004.     QUESTION 3:   Regarding the Salient Characteristics for CLIN 0003 for Tier Configuration Sets, would the Government set forth the total number of bins and drawers required by each line item? ANSWER:   The minimum required salient characteristic required for CLIN 0003 is that the Tier Configuration Sets quoted Must be compatible with Powered Cart quoted for CLIN 0002 and CLIN 0004.   The required number of bins and drawers is listed under the minimum salient characteristics for each individual cart for CLINs 0002, 0004, and 0005. QUESTION 4:   Regarding the Salient Characteristics for CLIN 0005, would the Government please clarify that cart dimensions of plus/minus 2 inches (W x D x H) from the cart size listed will be technically acceptable? ANSWER:   Yes, cart dimensions of plus/minus 2 inches (W x D x H) from the cart size listed will be technically acceptable provided all the minimum salient characteristics for CLIN 0005 are met. QUESTION 5:   Regarding the Salient Characteristics for CLIN 0006, would the Government please clarify that the total Tier height required can be achieved by combination of 1 tier, 2 tier, and/or 3 tier cassettes? ANSWER:   The minimum salient characteristic required for CLIN 0006 is that the Cassette Configuration Sets quoted Must be compatible with Medication Cart quoted for CLIN 0005.   The dimensions listed for CLIN 0005 are informational and carts quoted with similar dimensions will be considered provided all the minimum salient characteristics listed for CLIN 0005 are met.   QUESTION 6:   Regarding the Salient Characteristics for CLIN 0007, would the Government please clarify that drawer dimensions of plus/minus 3 inches (W x D x H) from the part numbers listed will be technically acceptable? ANSWER:   Yes, drawer dimensions of plus/minus 3 inches (W x D x H) from the part numbers listed will be technically acceptable provided the minimum salient characteristic, Drawer Configuration Sets quoted Must be compatible with Medication Cart quoted for CLIN 0005 is met. QUESTION 7:   Regarding Section B.1.4. (e) Reports, would the Government please remove the second paragraph relating to "Microscopes, Light, Laboratory and related equipment "? ANSWER:   Sales Report section of SECTION B - CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION / INVOICE INSTRUCTIONS will be updated to remove any reference to Microscopes. Section B.1.4(e) Reports is revised as follows: Reports: The Contractor agrees to provide on a monthly basis, to the POC s identified in B.1.b above, one electronic version of the Sales Report. This report should also be submitted to SACPAY@va.gov on a quarterly basis. The Sales Report shall contain information on all Medical Cart: Storage/Transport and related equipment ordered under this contract. The format for this report is provided in Attachment E, Sales Reporting Tool. The quarterly report is due within 60 calendar days after the close of each calendar quarter (January 1 March 31, April 1 June 30, July 1 September 30, and October 1 December 31). *The report submitted monthly is due within 5 calendar days after the end of each month. QUESTION 8: We are wondering if you can you open the opportunity for on-site live evaluation and compare our carts side by side? ANSWER 8: No, as stated in the solicitation, evaluations will be conducted using product literature. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (18-APR-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
