- Purpose and Objectives: The intent of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify in locating capable small businesses, including Service Disabled and Veteran Owned small businesses capable of providing the items as listed in the attached Statement of Need. NAICS Code 339112, Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing. These items are for the Department of Veteran Affairs, Wilmington VA Medical Center, Audiology Department, Wilmington, DE, 19805. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice should demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility to provide the principal components of supplies listed in the attached document. Responses should include the following information: Business name, address, Point of Contact, business size info. All information is to be submitted via email at justin.erdley@va.gov. Information provided will not be returned. All responses shall be in the English Language. Responses are due by 12:00 NOON EST, Wednesday, April 24, 2019. Department of Veteran Affairs Wilmington VA Medical Center 1601 Kirkwood Highway Wilmington, DE 19805 STATEMENT OF NEED The Wilmington VA Medical Center needs updated Clinical Audiometers. There have been many advances in hearing aid technology and in order to correctly match hearing aids to results of tested equipment updates are required. The equipment must be/have: The ability to stand alone with full two channel audiometer and work independently OR with full PC-based audiometry with complete NOAH and EMR/HIS integration Must include the following features: A Diagnostic Suite: Phonememe examples Sound examples Speech banana Severity indications Comprehensive test battery for advanced diagnostic and research applications: Multi frequency for tinnitus measurements and ototoxicity monitoring Automatic testing using Hughson Westlake and Bekesy Phase controlled tone and noise stimuli to test for retrocochlear function QuickSIN for automated speech in noise testing TEN test for diagnosing dead regions of the cochlear Hearing loss simulator and Master Hearing Aid for hearing aid verification SISI for differentiating between cochlear and retrocochlear disorders Weber for distinguishing between a conductive and sensorineural hearing loss ABLB test Lanenbeck (tone in noise) Masking Level Difference Automatic selection of narrow band noise (or white noise) for tone presentation and speech noise for speech presentation. Narrow band noise: IEC 60645-1 2012, 5/12 Octave filter with the same centre frequency resolution as pure Tone. White noise: 80-20000Hz measured with constant bandwidth Speech Noise. IEC 60645-2:1993 125-6000Hz falling 12dB/octave above 1KHz +/-5dB An articulating, high-resolution 800x600 pixel 8.4 color display A frequency range of: 125Hz to 8kHz (Optional High Frequency: 8 kHz to 20 kHz) 125Hz, 250Hz, 750Hz, 1500Hz and 8kHz may freely be deselected Meets Safety and EMC standards (IEC 60601-1 Internally powered, Type B and BF applied parts Electromagnetic compatibility Delivery need to be made to the Wilmington VAMC Include a standard warranty.
