- THIS IS A PUBLIC NOTICE.THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE. THIS PUBLIC NOTICE DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO ANY CONTRACT AWARD. THIS NOTICE IS INTENDED AS A FORECAST TO INFORM THE PUBLIC OF VARIOUS REQUIREMENTS THAT THE NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH ANTICIPATES AWARDING IN FISCAL YEAR 2019. THIS NOTICE IS INTENDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY AND SHALL NOT COMMIT THE NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH (NIH) TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION FOR THESE REQUIREMENTS. The solicitation number for this acquisition is NIH-OLAO-OD3-SS-19-5304230. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources; (2) whether they are small businesses; HUBZone small business; service disabled, veteran-owned small businesses; 8(a) small businesses; veteran-owned small businesses; woman-owned small businesses; or small disadvantaged businesses; and (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. The National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Nursing Research (NIH/NINR), investigators require total RNA extraction from PAXGene RNA tubes with globin reduction followed by rRNA elimination and sample library preparation for total RNA sequencing and next generation sequencing service to complete genomic analyses in on-going and future projects. A contractor is needed that must provide laboratory expertise related to high throughput next generation sequence assay along with its library preparation and quality control is required. To keep consistency of high data quality and minimum batch effect, one NovaSeq run for the entire 150 samples is required. In addition, primary data analysis is needed for initial evaluation of sequence data quality. Tasks shall include, but are not limited to: Task 1-Direct Research Support Through in Person Meetings and Email Give consultation on selection of assay kits and planning sample processing. Provide details of laboratory procedures performed on samples.
