- Page 2 of 2 THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (HUBZone, 8(a), small, small disadvantage, veteran owned small business (VOSB), service disabled veteran owned small business (SDVOSB), or large business) relative to NAICS 811219 with size standards of $20.5 million. Note that if VA s pending market research establishes that two or more VOSB or SDVOSB, who are certified in VA s Vendor Information Pages (VIP) site https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/, can perform the project. This Sources Sought Notice is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered as an invitation for bid, request for quotation, request for proposal, or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. Your response to this Sources Sought Notice will be treated as information only. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise because of contractor submission of responses to this announcement or the Government use of such information. This request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter negotiations to award a contract. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 5 (NCO 5) conducting market research to find qualified vendors who can provide the services below for Washington DC VA Medical Center (DC VAMC), Washington, DC. The Contractor shall provide all labor, personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items and services necessary to repair or exchange the Karl Storz instrumentation, electromechanical devices, and both rigid and flexible endoscopes at the Washington DC VA Medical Center. The contractor shall also provide unlimited service and maintenance to support approximately 400 Storz parts/products (brand name only). The Contractor shall also provide unlimited replacement parts to return the Storz products to normal operating conditions. If parts are backordered, the Contractor shall provide loaner products. Service provided shall be no fault in that all repairs necessary fall under the scope of this contract regardless of cause of defect or damage. Field Service Technician visits shall be at no charge to the government. Technology upgrades shall be included at the time of exchange or repair. Additional training will be provided upon customer request or product installation. Damage reports and field service reports shall be provided for every repair/ exchange. Repairs and exchanges of non-expendable equipment in the DC VAMC inventory shall be reported to Biomedical Engineering and contractor shall provide a service report. Biomedical Engineering will be the manager and administrator of the service contract. The service contract shall be from May 1, 2019 to April 30, 2020. In response, please include Documentation of technical expertise must be sufficient details to determine if your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience for this acquisition.
