Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 7, Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, 109 Bee Street, Charleston, SC, 29401 intends to award a sole source contract to Karl Storz Endoscopy-America, Inc., 2151 E. Grand Avenue, El Segundo, CA 90245-5017. This requirement includes a: Video upgrade of outdated equipment in all six (6) operating rooms. Monitors, light boxes, video boxes and other control systems in are operating rooms are old and outdated. Equipment installed over ten (10) years ago. With addition of other components over the years and differences with components and HD technology our old equipment had led to numerous component failure. Many of the component failure occurred during surgery. We had approximately 50 equipment failures last year related to outdated equipment. The proposed upgrade will replace old and damaged wire bundles and mounting brackets in surgical booms. All operating rooms will have new adaptors added for addition of other HD equipment and be fully HD operating suites. Minimum requirements: This Karl Storz equipment must work and be compatible with already existing Karl Storz equipment, and contain the same user interface, education, and service requirements. Must have same functionality as current. Equipment must be compatible with existing HD camera heads while also supporting 4K camera heads. Equipment must be compatible with existing D1 Mediastinoscopy camera heads and scopes. Equipment must exhibit forward/backward device control compatibility including light sources and insufflators. Equipment must be IP based with 4K routing capability and device control. General description: Integrated video, audio and control system for each OR suite allowing distribution of different images to various monitors and to the KARL STORZ AIDA HD CONNECT recording device and KARL STORZ StreamConnectTM Video content management system. System must function in a manner consistent with HIPPA compliance regulations for patient confidentiality. System must be FDA Classification 1 for medical devices. 16 x 16 full matrix DVI digital core router. Ability to upgrade to 4x4 3G HDSDI 4K matrix routing. Support, in native resolution the following medical device video inputs: o S-video 12GSDI (4K) HDMI (4K) DisplayPort (4K) o RGB o VGA o SDI o HDSDI o DVI (1080P60) Output: o DVI/Display Port Over Fiber to Display and other devices Compatibility with 4K displays, including DisplayPort, HDMI, and 12GSDI inputs. Audio: switched, amplified, and controllable with Echo Cancellation Speakers: Ceiling mounted, 4 per operating room. Integrated WHO compliant checklist incorporating Sign-In, TimeOut, and Sign-Out. Integrated TOMS TM (TurnOver Measurement System) Capable of pushing and pulling information with KARL STORZ StreamConnectTM streaming solution 24 1080P High Definition Touch Panel controller 32 4KSurgical Displays: o 2 in each OR Suite o 1 ea. 55 Wall display in each OR Suite Manufacturing practice and standards: International Standard ISO13485 (medical device quality management system) o cGMP (current good manufacturing practice) o 21CFR part 820 Quality System Regulation Installation and Support Included: o Include installation, cabling, wall plates and project management o 1-year warranty period covering materials and labor o Anytime E-Learning online operational training for clinical staff.
