Description

This is a 15-day pre-solicitation notice. The purpose of this project is to demolish 19 buildings, 4 catapults sites, 6 pier locations, and 1 storage tank with a 100,000-gallon capacity with an approximate total square footage of 61,314 SF located throughout the Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, management, tools, materials, equipment, facilities, transportation, incidental engineering, and other items necessary to execute this scope of work. The contractor shall demolish all facilities and their associated utilities, infrastructure, roofing, siding, foundations, windows, interior improvements, mechanical and electrical equipment, and any other aspects of the building. If any facility, when demolished, leaves any grade that is below that of the grade surrounding the area of the demolished facility, that area is to be backfilled with earth to make the site uniform and level, and shall be able to drain in wet weather. All improvements involving these facilities shall be removed unless parts are to remain to preserve a neighboring facility. The work includes asbestos testing and removal; removal of lighting ballasts and lamps containing PCBs and Mercury; lead-based paint removal; disconnection of utilities; earthwork; grading; demolition and removal of various buildings, miscellaneous structures, and equipment; site preparation; and all incidental related work. The work is located at the Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, Maryland, Lexington Park, to include adjacent basing at Solomons Island and Webster Field. This project will require considerable coordination with Department of Public Works to deliver minimal impacts to historical, environmental, and archeological resources. The Contractor shall remove all building components and completely demolish the facility unless noted otherwise. The contractor shall demolish all above-grade structures, mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, and utilities. Contractor shall remove all basements, walls, and foundations. Contractor shall remove all sidewalks that are not adjacent to any road or parking space. The solicitation package has detailed information on the base and options for this project. This procurement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. It is under NAICS 238910, FSC Code P400, for a Firm Fixed Price contract.
