Description
PROJECT TITLE: STIDHAM UNION PATIO PROJECT THIS AMENDMENT ANSWERS CLARIFICATION QUESTIONS SUBMITTED; 1. Please confirm the location to where the existing concrete is to be removed and replaced is to the first break line on the south edge of building wall. ANS: YES AT 4' BREAKLINE WHERE DOORS ARE LOCATED 2. Please confirm if an option is to be priced to remove the entire concrete patio (clear to the north brick building wall) except for the section in front of the doors. In this area, the existing concrete from the closest break line north toward the building would remain. ANS: YES REMOVE CONRETE THAT GOES AGAINST BRICK ON SOUTH SIDE OF PATIO 3. Please confirm if French drains are to be installed in front of the building doors on the upper patio and if these must extend the full length (east/west) of the patio. ANS:NO 4. Please confirm if the dye in the concrete is to be incorporated in the mix/pre-mixed or the variety that sprinkles on top. ANS: MIXED IN MAIN BODY, SPRINKLED IN ON REMAINING IN FRONT OF DOORS TWO (2) LOCATIONS 5. Please confirm if the existing aluminum fronts of the firewood storage boxes are to be re-used or replaced. The SOW states to replace these with stainless steel, however, would the government prefer aluminum to reduce the amount of weight to be pulled? In addition, please confirm if the entire fire wood bin system is to be replaced (rack, track, etc.). Are the locking mechanisms on the fire wood bins to have a removable cylinder that would be compatible for HINU to install their own cylinders? If so, please provide cylinder/lock specifications. ANS: ALUMINUM DOORS ARE FINE, REPLACE ENTIRE BIN SYSTEM, CYLINDER WILL BE A BEST LOCK 6. During the site visit it was noted on the south east side of the patio there were a set of brick stairs that descended onto the patio. The bottom step of the stairs rested on the concrete patio to be removed and were not mentioned in the SOW for removal and replacement. Does the government require this brick step be covered under this contract? ANS; REMOVE THE FIRST BRICK STEP AND REPLACE. 7. Regarding the half-circle brick sidewalk on the lower patio area, please confirm these bricks are to be removed and replaced with like bricks rather than pavers or stamped/dyed concrete. ANS: REPLACED WIT LIKE BRICKS. 8. Please confirm if lower patio/garden area is to be altered to allow proper drainage (either via drain tile or sloping the ground). It appears the area is currently ¿dished ¿ and retains water drainage from the upper patio. ANS: WE WOULDLIKE THIS AREA TO DRAIN 9. Regarding the sidewalks that lead away from the patio towards Winona Hall and Minoka Hall, please confirm if their new intersection with the street curb is to be ADA compliant (ie. raised textured mat inlay, etc.). ANS: YES NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (26-MAR-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE. PLEASE CONTACT 877-472-3779 or fbo.support@gsa.gov REGARDING THIS ISSUE.
