Description
Project requires demolition and construction services to remove and dispose of the office, and to restore the garage building and exterior site per Plans and Specifications produced in-house by Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC). General scope requirements include, but are not limited to, the following: 1) Remove and dispose of hazardous materials per approved Asbestos and Lead Management Plans. 2) Demolish and dispose of office per Drawings, including areas inside and outside main building. Demolition shall include all systems associated with construction of office, including foundations. Remove and cap abandoned sewer pipe under office to extent required. 3) Demolition will require removal of existing electrical sub-panel PP-4, and associated conduit, wiring, and fixtures. Electrical scope shall include relocation of existing carbon monoxide monitor, and addition of a new light fixture at front door, as well as miscellaneous work per Drawings. Contractor shall be responsible for demolition of all abandoned electrical systems within limits of work. Provide new work associated with 120/208 volt wiring. Contractor shall also temporarily remove, relocate, and reinstall active, low-voltage phone, data, public address, and any miscellaneous low-voltage wiring, conduit, and equipment required to accommodate office demolition. 4) Contract shall include demolition of abandoned mechanical piping and equipment within limits of work, including removal of sprinkler pipes feeding office area, to be removed back to main supply pipe at roof level inside garage. 5) Excavate and construct footings and foundation walls as required. Remove and replace area of concrete floor slab as shown inside garage. Remove and replace asphalt paving to the extent required for excavation. 6) Construct masonry walls matching existing interior and exterior walls to the extent possible. Wall construction will require installation of lintel and new exterior door (door, threshold, glazing, and associated hardware shall be provided by the Navy). Restore existing masonry and other wall surfaces where damaged or as required due to office demolition. 7) Prime and paint new and existing surfaces, inside and outside garage, within limits of construction. Paint color and sheen to match existing. Painting of existing surfaces shall require removal of paint with lead. Work shall be performed per approved Lead Compliance Plan. 8) Exterior site restoration includes construction of concrete apron with accessible entry, and asphalt paving matching existing asphalt material and grade elevations for 100% drainage. 9) Provide any additional miscellaneous materials and services for full project execution, complete and ready for use by the Navy.
