- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22, is issuing this notice of intent (NOI) to inform industry contractors of the Government s intent to execute a Sole Source award under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), specifically FAR Subpart 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items with Getinge USA Sales, LLC, located at 45 Barbour Pond Dr., Wayne, NJ 07470-2094. This requirement will be used for Preventive Maintenance and Support of Getinge/ Maquet Equipment for the VA Long Beach and Greater Los Angeles Healthcare Systems (VALBHS)(VAGLAHS) Cardiac Catheterization Labs. VA Long Beach and Great Los Angeles Healthcare Systems Engineering-BioMed and Engineering Facilities Management Services, respectively, are requesting single source procurement for services to maintain and support existing Government own Getinge/ Maquet Catheterization Labs. Specific tasks include: (1) Telephone assistance provided 24/7, 365 days a year, (2) shall furnish replacement parts meeting the original equipment manufacturer specifications, (3) all necessary intervening service calls required to replace any worn or defective parts needed due to instrument failure and software updates, (4) Testing and replacement of faulty and worn parts and/or parts which are likely to become faulty, fail, or become worn and (5) shall furnish documentation, all measurements, and calibration data collected to ensure that the system is performing in accordance with the manufacturer s performance standards. The Getinge/Maquet are used in the Catheterization Labs at the Long Beach and Los Angeles VA Hospitals. The government owned equipment that will be serviced is as follows: VAGLA 1. Datascope Balloon Pump Model # CS100, S/N SA05188-C6, EE# 112003 2. Datascope Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump Model # CS300, S/N SI161056F9, EE# 125202 3. Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump Model # Cardiosave IABP Hybrid, S/N CH235544F6, EE# 165519 VALB 1. Datascope Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump Model # CS300, S/N: S804138- HO, EE# 20068 2. Datascope Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump Model # CS300, S/N: SI171787B0, EE# 101963 The proposed period of performance will be from 4/15/2019 through 4/14/2020 (Base year), with Two (2) Option Years. The estimated value of the Base Year is $18,275.00 for the Base year with a total estimated value of $54,825.00 for the life of the contract. This procurement is being conducted using commercial item procedures pursuant to FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13, specifically FAR Subpart13.106-1(b)(1)(i) allowing the Contracting Officer (CO) to solicit from one source based on the licenses and warranty requirements of this particular procurement. This will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) award and an anticipated award date is set for 4/15/2019. The place of performance is as follows: VA LONG BEACH HEALTHCARE SYSTEM located at 5901 E. 7th St. Long Beach, CA. 90822 and VA GREATER LOS ANGELES HEALTCHCARE SYSTEM located at11301 Wilshire Blvd Los Aneles, CA 90073. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is, 811219- Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The Small Business Administration size standard for this sector is $20.5 Million. This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made on the basis of unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear, compelling and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
