- Network Contracting Office 7 intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to award a single, firm-fixed price contract for Project 521-16-105, Renovate Pharmacy Intravenous and Chemotherapy, located at Birmingham VAMC, 700 South 19th Street, Birmingham, AL 35233. Contractor is to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and supervision to Replace and Upgrade the Birmingham VA Medical Center Information Technology Cabling Infrastructure as per the contract drawings and specifications dated May 18, 2018 from Harrell Design Group, PC. The project is needed to replace the existing information technology cabling system throughout the facility. It will include other engineering discipline work as well as indicated in the contract drawings and specifications. This Project will require a substantial amount of work after normal working hours and Contractor must include that cost in their Main Bid Item #1 Price Period of Performance is 545 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. The solicitation, specifications, and drawings will be available at www.fbo.gov. Amendments to the solicitation will also be posted on this website. All parties must obtain solicitation documents and amendments to the solicitation through FBO. Hard copies will not be mailed. It is the responsibility of all contractors to frequently check the website for all notices, amendments, etc., regarding this solicitation. Government will not be responsible for any notification not sent or received by the contractor regarding the solicitation. The contract will be awarded in accordance with the procedures specified in the solicitation. The solicitation will be issued as an IFB conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 14 Sealed Bidding Procedures. This project is being solicited as a total set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The offerors must be listed in the Vendor Information Pages at www.vetbiz.gov at the bids are received. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code for this project is 236220, Commercial & Institutional Building Construction, with a small business size standard of $15 million. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The formal solicitation is anticipated to be issued on or about April 3, 2019. Telephone calls will not be accepted.
