Source Sought Notice This is Sources Sought announcement only, this is NOT a Request for Quote. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified vendors with special interest. No solicitation is being issued at this time. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 2, and the Castle Point VA Medical Center in Wappinger s Falls, NY anticipate a purchase order for the following: Cisco Wireless Lan (Requirements on page 2) The applicable North American Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 334111 (Electronic Computer Manufacturing). Interested vendors are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.12, prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications in conjunction with FAR 4.11 required registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. Responses should address how you will meet the Government's needs according to the description below and provide a brief capability statement. Please include product literature that specifically addresses the technical requirements. Statement of Work: OIT ESL Wireless LAN Team is required to expand the wireless mobility technology architecture that is currently installed for the Hudson Valley Health Care System IT Area Castle Point Campus. The architecture is an integrated, enterprise grade wireless system. The existing system needs to be expanded to support new patient care and administrative activities due to renovation and construction projects and in such case, additional hardware and hardware/software licensing is required to support the expansion. The existing system is the Cisco Unified Wireless Network (CUWN) infrastructure. This justification is required as hardware and licensing required for the expansion must be supported by the existing system, and as such are brand specific requiring components manufactured by Cisco Systems, Inc. Requirements: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology, Service, Information and Technology Operations, Enterprise Service Line Infrastructure Wireless Team, has a requirement for: Quantity Description 57 Cisco Wireless Access Points (APs) Level 2 And incidental hardware, and incidental software to support activation of the HVH - Castle Point VAMC located at 41 Castle Point Road Wappingers Falls, New York 12590. All hardware shall be provided with a one (1)-Year Standard Warranty. Outlined below are the technical requirements.
