- Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) will hold an Industry Day conference at Maritime Plaza I, located at 1201 M St SE, Washington, DC USA 20003 on 29 January 2019. The event will begin at 0900 EST and end at 1500 EST. The meeting will be hosted by NAVSEA Headquarters SEA 02 Contracts Division for the purpose of discussing the Navy's plan to lease a Carrier Floating Accommodation Facility (CFAF). The Industry Day will begin with a Government presentation from 0900 - 1030 that will discuss the general scope of work, facility requirements and desires, docking facilities. Additionally, the presentation will address questions and concerns that were received with the RFI responses. From 1030 - 1500, the Navy will allow for one-on-one sessions for those companies interested in discussing alternatives, concerns and suggestions relative to a future RFP. Session will be 30 minutes in length. The group will break for lunch from 1130 - 1230. Companies interested in participating in a one-on-one session shall notify Mr. Roy Yim and Mr. Mark Braza in their RSVP, as instructed below. NAVSEA requests that parties interested in attending the Carrier Floating Accommodation Facility Industry Day submit company names and attendee lists no later than 2 PM EST, 18 January 2019 via e-mail to Mr. Roy Yim, Contracting Officer (roy.yim@navy.mil) and Mr. Mark Braza, Asst. Program Manager (mark.braza@navy.mil). Parties are limited to no more than four attendees, including subcontractors. The subject line of the RSVP email shall be limited to: Carrier Floating Accommodation Facility RSVP from (Company Name). The body of the email shall include each attendee's name, Position/Title, email address, phone number, indicate whether they have a Common Access Card (CAC) or military ID, and indicate whether they wish to participate in a one-on-one session. Common Access Card (CAC) or military ID are not required to participate. Parties are encouraged to submit any additional questions via email to Mr. Roy Yim no later than 18 January 2019 in order for the briefing to be as informative as possible. This Special Notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a contract or order.
