Description

TITLE OF CONTRACT: Veterans Health Administration Warehouse Brand Name or Equal Scissor Lift Purchase. SCOPE OF WORK: Veterans Health Administration has a requirement to purchase (1) scissor lift to assist in warehouse operations and vehicle maintenance. BACKGROUND: VHA OEM currently has 11 mobile resources that are over 12 in height. There are vital components that are positioned on the roof that require maintenance to be performed on a routine basis. Additionally, these vehicles require the outside to be cleaned. A scissor lift provides the stability to transport other components, tools etc. to the roof height allowing the maintenance to be performed on a stable platform. This unit will also be used in the warehouse to conduct inspections on the racking system and to service other building infrastructure such as heaters and lighting. REQUIREMENTS: Drivable (self propelled) with solid tires Not wider than 32 Not to exceed 7 in height Able to extend upward a minimum of 20 Powered by electric and a charging mechanism provided with the unit Platform that extends off the lift at a minimum 24 Minimum weight capacity of platform is 400 lbs. Safety rails installed around platform DELIVERY - Upon completion the contractor will be required to deliver the scissor lift to 510 Butler Avenue, Martinsburg, WV 25405. WARRANTY The contractor will provide the standard new vehicles warranty and provide all paperwork necessary to activate the warranty. WRITTEN DOCUMENTATION The contractor will provide a comprehensive owner s manual. and laminated quick operational guide for each unit.
