Description

When: March 11, 2019 Time: 08:00 - 12:00 Where: Washington Navy Yard, Humphreys Building (Building 197) Auditorium - 1333 Isaac Hull Ave, SE, Washington Navy Yard, DC, 20376 Purpose The Department of the Navy (DON) Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), on behalf of the Program Manager Ships (PMS) 555 is hosting an Industry Day to provide an overview of the Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program (SIOP). The purpose of the Industry Day is to define the SIOP for industry, communicate known requirements, answer industry's questions to the greatest extent possible, and receive feedback. The intent of the Industry Day is to begin the needed dialogue between the Navy and industry on this critical program. Industry competencies that may find value in attending this Industry Day are: Facility engineering -design and construction, environmental planning, smart building technologies, strategic utility implementation, Industrial plant - design, technology transformation, automation and additive manufacturing, shipyard operations, digital transformation, plant equipment solutions, weight handling, and program management/oversight. It will not result in a Request for Information or Request for Proposal.
