Description
The Warner Robins Air Logistics Center is hosting an Industry Day on February 28 th 2019, to solicit feedback from interested industry representatives regarding an initiative by the Common Avionics Program Office to acquire Contract Logistics Support (CLS) and services required to support Link-16 Alaska (LAK). This is a follow-up industry day to the previous event held on September 6 th, 2018, in which the Common Avionics Program Management Office (PMO) is seeking further details from vendors on potential solutions to overcoming dependence on proprietary components currently in the system, as well as how they will effectively sustain the LAK. Major requirements for this effort include providing program management services, engineering services, administering and managing Risk Management Framework (RMF), hardware repair, software repair, software upgrades (patches), cybersecurity support, technical orders and technical documents support, systems and software engineering, familiarization training, technical assistance, test and development as part of tech refresh/block upgrade, and documentation to the cybersecurity certification and accreditation (C&A), engineering services, software maintenance/updates, logistics, and field support of LAK. Other requirements for this effort include actions necessary to repair components to fully operational status, and to maintain the LAK system to ensure interoperability with all internal components and external agencies that comply with MIL-STD 6016. The Common Avionics Program Management Office (PMO) is searching for details and explanations for potential solutions to overcome and reduce dependence on proprietary components within the LAK system. The Common Avionics PMO is also searching for further details in regards to the capabilities and experience vendors have sustaining the LAK system or systems similar to LAK. The PMO will also be seeking additional details on the capabilities and experience vendors have in meeting LAK's major requirements identified above on like or similar systems and efforts. We welcome collaboration with industry to critically review our requirements and discuss mutual issues and concerns relative to our technical requirements and acquisition strategy approach. The Industry Day event will consist of an open session for general discussion on the requirements, needs, issues, and concerns of LAK and the PMO. This session will also provide a time for each individual company to anonymously ask any questions or express any concerns regarding the current and future requirements and efforts for LAK. The Industry Day will also include closed door one-on-one sessions with each vendor interested in discussing and providing details and explanations on their potential solutions to overcoming proprietary components currently in the system. The closed door one-on-one session will also allow time for vendors to address and discuss specific issues and concerns relative to the LAK program and their company's interests. If your company is interested in participating in the subject Industry Day, please contact John Bryant, 478-327-5026, john.bryant.7@us.af.mil or Jeremy Nable, 478-926-7642, jeremy.nable@us.af.mil for detailed information on the Industry Day venue and associated information regarding session details, facility access, parking, and local area information.
