Description
************************************************************************************************** AMENDMENT POSTED 2/13/2019 This amendment is to add information regarding an Industry Day to be held March 28 to March 29 at Picatinny Arsenal. Please see attached document for details and instructions in regards to the Industry Day and Registration. PLEASE NOTE: FOREIGN NATIONALS MUST SUBMIT THEIR INFORMATION BY FEBRUARY 25TH, 2019. OTHER REGISTRANTS NEED TO SUBMIT INFORMATION NO LATER THAN MARCH 18TH, 2019 The United States Government will host a Next Generation Squad Weapon-Fire Control (NGSW-FC) Industry Day from March 28 to 29, 2019 at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey to outline Next Generation Squad Weapon-Fire Control program strategy, anticipated schedule, desired capabilities, and evaluation criteria. Industry Days also provide vendors with the ability to ask questions and seek clarification during the general session and any scheduled one-on-one sessions. The NGSW-FC's objective is to provide a ruggedized fire control that increases accuracy and lethality for the dismounted warfighter on the battlefield. Capabilities are achieved through integration of advanced technologies to provide a fire control system consisting of a variable magnification, ballistic calculator, atmospheric sensor suite, and laser range finder. Combining these features with an in-scope digital display produces an adjusted aim-point for the Soldier within the field of view. The system will provide the weapon system an accurate range to target along with an adjusted aim point for the selected weapon/ammunition combination. Specific desired capabilities will be defined in the NGSW-FC Capability Matrix released with the DRAFT NGSW-FC Prototype Project Opportunity Notice (PPON). NGSW-FC systems will support development and future fielding of the NGSW-Automatic Rifle (AR) and NGSW-Rifle (R) programs. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (13-FEB-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE. PLEASE CONTACT 877-472-3779 or fbo.support@gsa.gov REGARDING THIS ISSUE.
