Description
Design-Bid-Build P-106 Manufacturing Support Facility, Philadelphia Navy Yard, Philadelphia, PA Date: Thursday, February 28, 2019 Time: 0900 - 1200. Location: Courtyard Philadelphia South at The Navy Yard NAVFAC is seeking industry feedback for P-106 Manufacturing Support Facility in Philadelphia Navy Yard, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The project includes: Two new buildings and related site improvements to provide space for engineering, maintenance, shipping/receiving, and storage. Work includes demolition of existing buildings and reconstruction of the security perimeter (crash-rated perimeter fence and vehicle barriers). 25,518 SF O/A Building “ Steel frame, pile supported; blast windows/walls require delegated design. 27,493 SF S/R/M Building “ Steel frame, pile supported, high bay with bridge crane. The estimated range of construction cost for this project is $25-$100 million. At this Industry Day, specific feedback concerning scheduling, task challenges, and acquisition strategy will be requested. This will be an excellent opportunity for contractors with NAICS code 236220 and similar construction experience to learn more about this upcoming project and the acquisition plan. Firms interested in participating in this industry day meeting are requested to respond by emailing the Contract Specialist, Mr. Philip Cole, at philip.j.cole@navy.mil by Wednesday, February 20th. Site Visit will be limited to a drive by tour of the proposed construction areas: truck inspection area, Building 121 (S/R/M) site, O/A Building site, Building 1081, and laydown area. Attendees will not be able to walk around the site. Each company will be limited to two personnel for the site visit. This event is open to all contractors and is not restricted to those currently under contract with NAVFAC. This announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, promise to contract, or commitment of any kind on the part of the Government. NAVFAC will not assume responsibility for costs incurred by attendees or for travel expenses for marketing efforts.
