Description
The proposed project is to demolish 29 buildings/structures with an approximate total square footage of 54,891 SF to include 6 pier locations, 4 catapult sites, and 1 storage tank with a 100,000-gallon capacity throughout the Naval Air Station Patuxent River. The contactor shall provide all equipment, labor, materials, tools, expertise, and disposal means needed to execute this scope of work. The contractor shall demolish all facilities and their associated utilities, infrastructure, roofing, siding, foundations, windows, interior improvements, mechanical and electrical equipment, and any other aspects of the building. If any facility, when demolished, leaves any grade that is below that of the grade surrounding the area of the demolished building, that area is to be backfilled with earth to make the site uniform and level, and shall be able to drain in wet weather. All improvements involving these facilities shall be removed unless parts are to remain to preserve a neighboring facility. Within these facilities, there are known cases of asbestos, mold, and lead-based paint. The various buildings consist of standard commercial or storage interiors. Contractor shall comply with all codes, standards (including safety standards) while performing this work. Protective equipment for all workers shall be provided to mitigate the dangers of asbestos, lead-based paint, and mold while work is being executed.
