- Description
- The subject Special Notice (Reference No. 75N92019Q0038) is amended to provide the additional information outlined below. Industry representatives / prospective vendors attending Industry Day are invited to submit questions to be addressed during the Question & Answer (Q&A) session of the informational presentation scheduled from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Please submit any questions to the attention of Ms. Melanie Peel at the following e-mail address: melanie.peel@nih.gov. It is requested that you include "NHLBI D&I Industry Day - Questions" in the e-mail subject line of your submission. Questions must be submitted not later than 12:00 p.m. (noon) EST on Friday, February 15, 2019. Please note that 30-minutes has been allotted for a question and answer session (approximately 9:30 - 10:00 a.m.). Please note we will attempt to answer all submitted questions; however, it is anticipated that the acquisition process will permit additional questions if a question is not addressed during the Industry Day event. Please note the following change with regard to the One-on-One "Meet and Greet" Sessions : All representatives/organizations that submitted a request for a one-on-one "Meet and Greet" will be assigned a 15-minute time slot on the designated Industry Day event of February 25, 2019. E-mail confirmations will be sent to the designated points of contact not later than Friday, February 15, 2019. We plan to have NHLBI staff available to answer additional questions if a representative/vendor did not submit a request for a "Meet and Greet". In preparing for the "Meet and Greet", please consider the following information: Diversity and Inclusion for NHLBI means an environment where the power of one is multiplied by the power of many to advance our public service. We strive to embody individuals from diverse backgrounds collaborating to create a workplace where different opinions and perspectives are respected and embraced. Our vision is to create a program where diversity and inclusion is part of the value system and becomes a fundamental part of the organizational culture, reflected in the everyday output and sustained in our long-term strategies. We seek to learn more about innovative D&I approaches, including customization to NHLBI's organizational culture, how these past approaches supported the values of the client organization, and any approaches used to measure progress of a D&I program and identification of gaps in existing strategies. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (08-FEB-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
