Description
PPL 5.8 Wasteway Pasco Lateral System, Columbia Basin Project, WA. Sources Sought Notice for PPL5.8 Wasteway Pasco Lateral System, Columbia Basin Project-222, Franklin County, WA Bureau of Reclamation, Pacific Northwest Region The Bureau of Reclamation, Pacific Northwest Regional Office, is posting a Sources Sought notice to determine interest by contractors of small business size for an upcoming PPL5.8 Wasteway Pasco Lateral System, Columbia Basin, WA. The location of the work is located east of the Columbia River, where it forms Lake Wallula, near the City of Pasco, located in Franklin County, WA. The work specifications include construction of a new 1.4-mile piped wasteway, an intake structure from the existing Pasco Pump Lateral (PPL) canal at mile 5.8, a pre-cast manhole access point, a baffled outlet structure, and graded riprap into the Columbia River/Lake Wallula. The work is to be performed in a manner that addresses concerns about endangered fish species and a pre-historic Native American village site. General Requirements. The principal components of the work to be performed under these specifications include: 1) Disposal of Existing Features; 2) Cast-in-Place Concrete for Inlet & Baffled Outlet structure; 3) Cast-in-Place Concrete for Canal Lining; 4) Concrete Removals; 5) Diversion & Care of Water during construction; 6) Cofferdam Construction; 7) Removal & Control of water; 8) Land site control and management actions such as ¿ clearing, grubbing, stripping, backfill, silt fence, straw bales, riprap, seeding and soil supplements; 9) Evacuation of Existing Structures; 10) Evacuation of Existing Piping; 11) Canal Lining Asphaltic Concrete removal; 12) Pre-cast Concrete man-holes; 13) HDPE Pipe placement; 14) Flume Gate installation. The applicable NAICS code is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a size standard of $36.5 million. Period of Performance is anticipated with construction beginning in 1 November 2019, for 12 Months. Interested parties are asked to provide the following information: 1) Business Name and DUNS number; 2) Contact information; 3) Business size and any additional socioeconomic classification(s); 4) Brief capabilities statement that addresses experience performing similar projects as a prime contractor. This is NOT a Request for Proposal or Invitation for Bids and does not constitute any commitment by the Government. The Government will not pay for information received in response to this notice. All interested sources must respond to future solicitation announcements separately from responses to this Sources Sought notice. Information obtained through this notice may be used to determine the potential for issuing a future solicitation for this project with a small business set-aside, and to provide input for the Government's overall acquisition strategy.
