- Page 1 of 1 The Department of Veterans Affairs, James J. Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VISN 2 Down state), intends to award a short term, interim, sole-source, firm fixed price to Biomerieux Inc. The contract will be effective April 1, 2019 through September 30, 2019. With a six month option. The acquisition sought is an interim that will cover 6 months of reagents, consumables, and supplies needed to produce a cost-per-test (CPT) and for the continued usage of contractor-owned equipment currently on-site at VISN 2 Down State Medical Centers. VA personnel utilize the equipment and reagents to perform patient Bacterial and ID Susceptibility testing. The NAICS is 325413 with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees. The current contract with Biomerieux Inc. will expire on March 31, 2019. This interim contract is required to continue to provide testing until the new, long-term, is solicited and implemented. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. Any responses received no later than COB February 11, 2019 by 3 PM will be considered for the purposes of determining sources for future procurements. The Government will not pay for information submitted. Any information submitted in response to this notice of intent is strictly voluntary. This will be the only notice of the Government's intent to solicit, negotiate, and award to one source to satisfy this requirement.
